A fantastic example of an early 18K gold GMT-Master ref. 1675 from 1968, often nicknamed the “Concorde.” This name originates from a famous late-1960s advertising campaign that associated the watch with the supersonic Concorde aircraft. Rolex used the memorable slogan: “If you were flying the Concorde, you'd wear a Rolex.” The version featured in those advertisements was distinguished by its slim baton-style hands, sometimes referred to as “Concorde hands.”
The watch is presented in beautiful, original condition. It shows signs of use but retains a very thick, unpolished case. The dial is in excellent condition, with original lume and matching original hands. The bezel insert has aged slightly, developing an attractive vintage patina with minimal signs of wear.
