18K gold Patek Philippe perpetual calendar chronograph ref. 3970. A truly exceptional example of an early second-series Ref. 3970, this watch belongs to an extremely rare batch produced at the end of the 1980s and bears clear gold hallmarks on the caseback. Presented in outstanding condition, the case is exceptionally sharp, showing light oxidation that attests to its untouched state. The dial is absolutely flawless, enhancing the watch’s timeless appeal. Powered by the manual-winding Caliber CH 27-70 Q, it is fitted with an alligator strap and a Patek Philippe deployant clasp. Early examples were originally delivered with a traditional gold pin buckle, suggesting that the deployant clasp was likely a later customer preference. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming its 1988 production, this is a highly collectible piece in remarkable condition —perfectly suited for the most refined collections.
